With PRESTO Contactless payment, you can tap on a PRESTO device with your Interac® Debit card, credit card, or cards in a mobile wallet on your phone or watch to pay for transit. Adult Fare pricing only. Interac Debit, MasterCard, VISA and American Express accepted.

When you get to a station or board a vehicle, tap your Interac Debit or credit, including those cards in a mobile wallet on your phone or watch, on a PRESTO device. The device will let you know your tap was successful.

Tap off with the same payment method when you finish your trip on GO Transit or UP Express, and tap every time you switch transit vehicles. Any discounted transfer fare will be automatically applied when you tap, depending on the transit agency.

During a fare inspection, your proof of payment is the same payment method you tapped when you first got on transit.

Sign in to your PRESTO account and go to Account Settings.

Select “Add a Card.” You can only add debit or credit cards to your account if you've tapped them to travel with PRESTO at least once.

Select “Debit” or “Credit” and then click “I traveled with this card.”

Fill in your card details and click “Confirm.” For debit cards, you can find the 10-digit Confirmation ID next to any PRESTO contactless transaction in your bank statement in the last 6 months.

Create a nickname for the card.

Your debit or credit card will be added to your PRESTO account and you’ll be able to see your transaction history.
